UNTITLED, pencil & watercolor, 7”x10”

This is one piece that I recently did in my sketchbook.  I am working on a series about Selkies from the Irish legends and stories.  This is derived from the ideas that I have been doing for that series, though it’s not related to the story.  It has that flavor of mythology or legend, possibly closer to Guinevere and Lancelot than Selkies.  I am still in search of my particular illustration style, but am finding that Art Nouveau continues to be an influence.
