Hello, and Happy New Year!  Of course, I know that the new year started approximately nineteen days, eleven hours and 25 minutes ago, but I guess you have to start somewhere.  Along with many of my other resolutions, keeping up-to-date with my blog fell by the wayside for the past few weeks.
I am in the process of learning how to become an artistic entrepreneur, i.e. sell my artwork, and market my illustrations and design skills, so that has taken up some of the time.  I have decided that this year has to be different.  I have to make a mark, both literally and figuratively and this blog is the best way for me to keep myself on track.  I doubt that many people actually “follow” this blog, so at least that takes a little of the pressure off.
So, instead, I have to see this as my own personal artistic journal, a map that I have to simultaneously chart and follow.  These are all personal sketches, whether good or bad, they are pieces that I have made and want to share.  Some days will be simply uploads of images, other days will be a little more long-winded.  Though I doubt that there will be much of the latter, since I’m not much of a traditional “blogger”.  I simply want a venue where I can upload images without the worry of whether they are “good enough” for a portfolio piece.  A way to show myself and others that I am always working, whether it’s a small doodle, or a larger canvas.
Thanks,
Netta
